This single-seater sofa takes design cues from mid-20th-century furniture. The frame is constructed from American black walnut veneer over engineered wood, with solid walnut legs. Walnut is a hardwood with rich brown color and occasional darker streaks. The finish is a satin clear coat. The upholstery is genuine aniline leather (full-grain), which retains natural markings such as scars or grain variations. The leather is not pigmented, so it will scratch and stain more easily than protected leather; it develops a patina with use. The seat cushion is a single block of high-density polyurethane foam (density 32 kg/m³) wrapped in a 2 cm layer of natural horsehair (hygroscopic and breathable). The horsehair is enclosed in a cotton fabric sleeve. The back cushion is loose and filled with duck feathers (80%) and down (20%) for a soft feel. The feather cushion requires regular fluffing. The sofa has tapered legs with brass caps. The legs are attached with screws. The product is delivered with the back cushion separate. Assembly involves screwing on the four legs.
